Currently, many students across North Carolina are learning in classrooms with residency-licensed teachers. These teachers are new to the field and need innovative and differentiated support for their professional learning and growth. The Institute for Partnerships in Education (IPiE) offers residency licensure programs that work in collaboration with school districts’ needs to prepare and develop residency-licensed teachers while successfully completing a graduate degree and licensure in their content area. UNCG Faculty provide relevant coursework and mentorship to these teachers throughout the residency-licensure program.
Examples of current and past partnerships include:
Math and Science Teachers of Tomorrow (MST2)
Library Information Specialists of Tomorrow (LIST)
Special Education Teacher of Tomorrow (SET2)
